Father's Day in the Philippines is celebrated on the third Sunday of June.
This year 2012, this means TODAY, June 17, 2012!!!
So SEND Papa Bear your Love Here Now! ツ
4 years: My daddy can do anything.
7 years: My dad knows a lot, a whole lot.
8 years: My father doesn't know quite everything.
12 years: Oh, well, naturally Father doesn't know that, either.
14 years: Father? Hopelessly old-fashioned.
21 years: Oh, that man is out-of-date. What did you expect?
25 years: He knows a little bit about it, but not much.
30 years: Maybe we ought to find out what Dad thinks.
35 years: A little patience. Let's get Dad's assessment before we do anything.
50 years: I wonder what Dad would have thought about that. He was pretty smart.
60 years: My dad knew absolutely everything!
65 years: "I'd give anything if Dad were here so I could talk this over with him. I really miss that man."  *Poem is not mine. You can easily google this. :)
It's not too late! Send Love Here Now!

While Aussies continue their love affair with football (or swimming, not sure which one has the higher participation rate or which is closest to Oz hearts), Pinoys continue to fall head over heels with the game that starts with B, a team game born in Canada and its B has been dribbled and passed quickly to everywhere in the world. And the rest is history!
B is the BIGGEST gaming grounds in the Philippines. Some of the key ingredients for a great B or NBA session in my awesome country are: B for beer (Red Horse or San Miguel) and Pulutan (peanuts, or of any pork, chicken, seafood,
cooked dish, etc). Nothing beats that!
Yes, Pinoys are true NBA die hard fans too. Now at this very moment, Pinoys continues to support their favorite teams competing in 2012 NBA Finals. In fact, a LOT of my Pinoy friends on facebook barrack for the Miaminians, meaning they are fans of Miami Heat team and when you are a fan of that team you are bound to become a huge and strong supporter of that team. But many of them shouts for Oklahoma City Thunder too.
B is a sport Filipinos have grown to love.
    So which team are you?

Today is the day, the day that my beloved nation celebrates its 114th anniversary of the Declaration of  Independence Day!!

As far back as I can remember, as students, we were always taught that on June 12, 1898, a declaration of Independence in the Philippines from the colonial rule of Spain was proclaimed at Emilio Aguinaldo's headquarters in Cavite. Hmm. I do not remember learning very much. I tried ways to stay awake during Ms. Royales' history class. But I learned that this is such a significant day for Filipinos as it marks the beginning of the long-awaited and hard-fought FREEDOM.

The reverse side depicts the re-enactment of the Declaration of Philippine Independence at the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite on June 12, 1998 by President Fidel V. Ramos and also features the Philippine Centennial Commission logo.
"True love of country is not about mouthing empty pride over which that is not our own, it is claiming the pride by making OUR PHILIPPINES, a noun synonymous to humility, service, community, excellence and honor. Let us all claim emancipation and genuine independence!" More on Philippine Updates >>

            First of all:

Not really a huge fan of Manny Pacquiao. Not at all, but...

WE ARE STILL SO PROUD OF OUR PACMAN!!! BECAUSE WIN OR LOSE, HE DID IT WITH LOVE, HOPE, AND VICTORY!!!

            Second of all:

The above photo is not mine, but belongs to Yahoo Sports, Reuters.
Just take a look at Bradley's total confidence look versus Pacquiao's looking relax and calm. Sweet. And is that Jinkee, tattooed on his arm? Nah.

Lastly, you know when some of your friends on facebook and family friends here in Australia and everywhere in the world, who showed their Pinoy Pride by supporting Pac-Man and by SMS-ing people like "He's playing in few minutes.. Start cheering :).. Show your Filipino Pride :)" and stuff like that, were really saddened and shocked by, some tweets said, the most ridiculous split decision victory in the history of boxing. I may not fully understand boxing but I feel you guys.

In other news, it is very cold here in Adelaide right now. So cold like your ex. Lame. I really hate this month of the year. Adelaide's weather for June is ALWAYS wet, bloody cold, and super windy. Not cool. But still, I'd rather be here than Melbourne which is very well known for it's four seasons in a day. All FOOUUR SEAASONNS in one day! Freakin' freak!

Anyway, the long weekend is almost over. I hope it was terrific for all of you people out there.
